1/2tspvanilla extract
1/2cup(40gr)grated cheddar cheese

2tbsp(16gr)milk powder
1/2tspsalt
Confectioners' sugar, for coating
Instructions
Preheat oven to 300F/150°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
In a medium bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornstarch, milk powder, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together butter with confectioners' sugar until well combined.
Add egg yolk, vanilla extract, and grated cheddar cheese into the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
Sift in the flour mixture into the mixture and mix with a spatula until well incorporated.
Scoop out 1 1/2 teaspoons of dough. Roll the dough into balls. Arrange them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the bottom edges of cookies are lightly browned.
Cool the cookies slightly until you're able to handle the cookies. Roll in confectioners' sugar when they are still warm and place on a rack to cool completely. When the cookies are completely cooled, roll them again in confectioners' sugar.
Notes
Although cheddar cheese is added to the dough, you will not be able to taste the cheese inside. The amount of cheese is just enough to make the cookies a bit richer and creamier.
